Argentine-Italian Artist (b. 1981, Buenos Aires)
Romina Ressia has established a distinctive presence in contemporary photography. Throughout her career, she has held multiple solo shows at institutions and galleries including Museo Emilio Caraffa, HOFA Gallery London, Galería Del Infinito, Galería Alejandro Bustillo, Ha Gamle Prestegard, Konvent, among others. Her work has also been exhibited at Phillips London, Arsenale di Venezia, Somerset House, Leica Gallery Milan, Museo Bagatti Valsecchi, Palazzo Ducale di Pavullo nel Frignano, FOLA, Salo Art Museum and other institutions. She has collaborated with brands including Gucci, Delvaux, and Marco de Vincenzo.
Among other distinctions, Ressia has received Sony World Photography Awards twice and recognition at the Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales and the Fondo Nacional de las Artes on several occasions. She was also named Photographer of the Year at the International Color Awards in 2017 and, that same year, selected as a Rising Talent by the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society, as one of the young women on their way to becoming influential figures of the world.
Her work is held in the permanent collections of the Columbus Museum of Art, USA; Salo Art Museum, Finland; and Museumsberg Flensburg, Germany, as well as in selected private collections internationally.
